I like to jot down some random business ideas from time to time.
None of these are well thought out, there has been relatively zero research done in any of these.
They usually just gather dust in my pile of Random Business Ideas, here’s a small collection of ideas from last year…
- Shadow Plan on iOS
- Back in the day on Palm OS there was this great checklist app called Shadow Plan, I would want that, just for iOS.
- Memory card labeler
- A memory card labelling app for people to customize their labels. I feel like there would be an issue trying to remove labels on existing cards, but could also just ship new ones with the new labels on them as well.
- A Non-Profit that does nothing but pay off medical debt
- No idea how this would work.
- Price Counting mobile app
- Utilizes OCR to add up product prices to give the shopper a better idea of totals before they get to the checkout.
- A Resume templating app
- Takes contents of a resume and offers different templates to present it in, outputs to pdf. This actually sounds kinda simple and useful at the same time.
- Kite Flying widget (probably mobile app)
- Says if the weather in the current area is good for flying kites or not.
- Vehicle Maintenance Simulator
- Loads up a full model of a person’s vehicle, then lets them zoom in on the specific area that needs fixing, and potential problems. Like, if I wanted to change the oil in my car, shows me with a 3d model the exact location of the filter, all the random issues that could happen in replacing it, and maybe even a list of local repair shops that can do it.
- Notorious Bulgogi
- Just thought it sounded cool, but no idea what that would be used for. Also available are: Jiggae What? and Lil Kimbap
